Saperavi is one of the best Georgian dining experiences I've had in the city. Absolutely excellent and authentic. You can pick anything on the menu and know it's going to be good. We had the assorted pkhali, the Georgian salad (get it with walnut dressing), beef khinkhali, adjaruli khachapuri, and the chicken shkemeruli. All fantastic, especially the chicken. Everything tasted like it was made by a Georgian grandma. They even offer kompot!! Honey cake for dessert is a must. It was perfect. Shoutout to the service. Sergei was lovely and really made our experience that much better.Posted on Yelp![]()

My friend and I tried this place on a whim and we were so delighted! The vibe is cozy and classic with a very warm atmosphere throughout. Service was a little slow but nothing unforgivable considering it was a busy Saturday night. We split the Starter appetizer which has the most delicious array of sauces, including this garlic-buttery sauce I'm forgetting the name of that was so delicious I wanted to beg for the recipe to it. The only thing is we wished it came with more bread so we could continue to enjoy the sauces! Then we split the fried chicken sandwich, which was perfectly juicy. It's not hard to make a good chicken sandwich, but this one was a standout amongst some of the other restaurants we've tried in the area. Next, we got the adjaruli so we could try a taste of more traditional Georgian cuisine. This was yummy and came with a cute little table side presentation but it is VERY filling. My friend and I were only able to tackle half of it before we were leaning back holding our stomachs. A very rich meal that would pair well with more bread or something else on the side to cut that richness. Overall, this was super yummy and we will be coming back! Even if just for that sauce! So good and I look forward to exploring more of their menu!Posted on Yelp![]()

Amazing restaurant right between Union square and East Village/Stuytown area. They have a lot of menu options and drink options which was nice. We ordered the eggplant rolls and beef dumplings. The food was very tasty and flavorful. The ambiance inside is nice for casual dining or dates as well. Service is fast and efficient, however can get a little slow once they hit their peak dinner time hours. Definitely recommend!Posted on Yelp![]()

The closest to authentic Georgian food I've tried in NYC so far. The service was impeccable, Serg was highly professional and the rest of the staff equally welcoming and helpful. It's impossible to describe the taste of Georgian dishes, if you ever tried any of them, you will " feel " the quality of their cuisine from the pictures. If not, hopefully you will be motivated to visit Saperavi, just by looking at these pics. Highly recommend'Posted on Yelp![]()

Love the ambiance, super easy location to get to. I really loved their eggplant salad, definitely my favorite. The khachapuri was delicious, but it was pretty heavy. Great if you have a larger group and want to share. The khinkali was also super fragrant and juicy.Posted on Yelp![]()

Saperavi had been recommended to us by a couple of people and last night we finally tried it ourselves. We could not have been happier. The service was excellent. We ordered the cheesy bread with egg dish it was delicious. Then my wife had the lamb chops with salad and I had the pork skewers with plum sauce. Everything was delicious. The only thing I could not understand is why they are listed as a $$$ restaurant. We found the prices to be reasonable for the size of the portions. Definitely a $$ experience. Highly recommend!Posted on Yelp![]()

This place is great! If you haven't had Georgian food, definitely come try them here. I recommend getting the appetizer platter to try all the dips and small bites. They do all taste very similar - creamy and earthy. We tried this creamy white sauce chicken and it tasted really homey, perfect for a cold chilly day. The service is great as well - very attentive.
